Chitrakar gets UN peace award for anti-landmine campaign United Nations Development Program (UNDP) has honored anti-landmine campaigner Purna Shobha Chitrakar with 'UN Peace Award, 2011'. Chitrakar, the coordinator of 'Ban Landmine Campaign', had received highest number of votes among the contestants from 40 countries across the world. The UNDP conferred the award to her by organizing a program in Bangkok recently, according to Ban landmine Campaign. nepalnews.com

House set ablaze by unidentified group while family members still inside
An unidentified group set fire to a house at Jhula VDC of Rukum district around 4 am this morning by padlocking the main gate even as the family members were inside.
The group set fire at the house of Bhim Bahadur Pariyar of Jhula VDC-1 while all eight members of the family were sleeping, RSS reported.
According to victim Bhim Bahadur, his family members could only come out of the house after their neighbors broke the main door.
Property worth around Rs. 400,000 including Rs. 80,000 in cash was destroyed in the fire. Bhim Bahadur had brought the cash as his earning from India only 10 days ago.
According to the Area Police Office, Bafikot, all clothes, utensils and crops have been destroyed in the fire. nepalnews.com

• Indoor air pollution.Nepal has a very poor indoor air pollution rate. It's14.6632, and it's really bad for the people living there. It's caused by Burning solid fuel indoors releases harmful chemicals and particles that present an acute health risk. These chemicals and particles can become lodged in the lungs when inhaled, leading to numerous respiratory problems, including acute lower respiratory tract infections.

Summary:

• This Means That In Nepal there are a lot of harmful chemicals going around causing dangerous effects. In Nepal the people have to be more precocious,because it's hurting the world, and their country. Nepal Has Major issues, and they need to fix them.
• There is strong evidence of indoor pollution causing pneumonia and other acute respiratory infections (ARI) among under-fives and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and lung cancer in adults, according to the UN World Health Organization report, Indoor Air Pollution: National Burden of Disease Estimates.
